You Belong at Cornerstone!

Called To Be One

Rev Ruth Jensen-Forbell is our new Interim Pastor. She is here for the second weekend to work with the Board of Directors, to meet others interested in the future of Cornerstone MCC, and to preach on Sunday.

“Called To Be One” is the title of her sermon. It is based on the scriptures of Acts 1: 6-14 and John 17: 1-11. Before ascending into heaven, Jesus prayed to God for his disciples “so that they may be one as we are one”. We are called to be one with God, one with each other, and one in ministry. We gather in the unity of God's Holy Spirit to be the church. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Ruth guides us in our thinking about Jesus prayer for his followers.

Men’s Fellowship Group

The Men’s Fellowship Group met after church this past Sunday. After pizza and drinks, we had a lively discussion about fellowship opportunities, including a special movie night in June along with costumed guest appearances. We will plan both social and service events as we meet new friends and grow together in Christ! Stay tuned for specific announcements and frequent meetings after church. Thank you Angelo for volunteering to head up this group!.

Conflict Resolution Policy

After two Wonderful Wednesday sessions, a Conflict Resolution Policy was presented at the Board of Directors meeting on April 30. A motion was passed to rename it "Cornerstone Guidelines for Conflict Resolution" and to recommend all members and friends print out a copy and review it. It will also be included in New Member packets. It is our hope that this document will remind us that conflicts will occur, and there are positive ways to deal with them as Christian brothers and sisters.

Children's Sunday School ~ Temporary Suspended

Due to a lack of teachers and aides, our children will be staying with us during the service on Sundays. If God has been knocking on your door about helping in this important ministry, please contact Board of Directors so we can build a team of adults to work with our children and youth. Let's change this situation as quickly as possible please.

Wednesday Nights

Due to a number of circumstances, we are suspending our Wednesday night offerings effective immediately. Remember, past services are available on-line.
