At Cornerstone MCC, we are living and sharing God's love in Christ for all by practicing radical hospitality, passionate worship, intentional discipleship, risk-taking outreach and service, and extravagant generosity.
Love is our core value.
Live Worship Update
Our Board of Directors developed a reopening plan for our church. We are now open.
Please note the following guidelines that we will implement. It is important that we understand that while it may be safe for some to attend, there are many among us who are immune compromised. The safety of ALL is our aim.
If you are not feeling well we ask that you stay at home and join us online for our services.
A single point of entry at the door with the ramp will be available to worshipers. A team of volunteers will greet you there to offer assistance.
Masks must be worn by everyone entering the building. The church has a small supply of disposable masks, but if you have your own reusable mask, please bring it.
Hand sanitizer usage is required before entering the building. We have a supply of alcohol based sanitizers available. If you prefer to bring your own, please do so.
Everyone entering the building will have their temperature scanned. If it is elevated, you will not be permitted to enter.
Seating will be arranged to allow at least six feet of distance around family groups. Ushers will be available to assist you in choosing your seats.
We strongly discourage congregating before or after services inside the Sanctuary or in the parking area without abiding by social distancing recommendations.
We realize that these measures may not be deemed necessary by everyone, but keep in mind that our aim is to protect ALL of us. Our guidelines are based on the latest scientific knowledge and recommendations. Your cooperation is absolutely necessary in order for us to be successful in that attempt. If you are in opposition to any of these guidelines, you may choose to stay at home and watch our services online. Those who opt to join us live are expected to abide by these guidelines. Anyone who does not will be asked to leave the building.
We will continue to closely monitor the evolution of this pandemic and will keep you up to date on our response to it. We are seeking volunteers to assist with cleaning/sanitizing the Sanctuary and with implementing our precautions on Sunday mornings when we reopen. If you are interested in either, or both, of these opportunities for ministry, please contact Pastor Sara.
We are centrally located near downtown, in beautiful Oakleigh Historic District at 1007 - 1009 Government Street and the corner of Chatham Street.
Our Sunday service begins at 10:45am. Arriving a little early (on Sunday) will help with a parking place and you'll have time to visit our Welcome Center and take a guided tour of our campus.
What to wear is the most popular question. And the answer is as unique as you! You can dress comfortable in God's house or you wear your Sunday best. We dress in many ways in MCC.
We are unable to offer Sunday School at this time due to a lack of teachers and aides.
You can expect to meet a lot of friendly people who are sharing their spiritual journey together. We are a Christian church for all people, and we are predominantly LGBTQ. You will experience lively worship with both traditional and contemporary music. We utilize PowerPoint for every aspect of the service so you will have the information needed to fully participate in the service which is between one and one and a half hour long.

“We cannot become complacent and desensitized to racially-charged statements. Our faith resides in God where love will win and fear and hatred will wither in love’s shadow. We cannot be silent,”
