You Belong At Cornerstone!
At Cornerstone MCC, we are living and sharing God's love in Christ for all by practicing radical hospitality, passionate worship, intentional discipleship, risk-taking outreach and service, and extravagant generosity.
Love is our core value.
Live Worship COVID Update
Please note the following guidelines that we implemented. With the current COVID data in Mobile County, I believe we do not need to implement any new precautions. It is important that we understand that there are many among us who are immune compromised. The safety of ALL is our aim.
If you are not feeling well we ask that you stay at home and join us online for our services.
It appears we currently have a low rate of transmission.
- Wearing masks is not mandatory. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so. Masks will be available at both entrances to the Sanctuary.
- We will be offering Communion in our regular format or using individually wrapped sets as an option.
- Please be mindful of distancing yourselves from others if needed.
- We are returning to our regular form of Passing the Peace.
I know how much these intimacies enhance our worship experiences but be mindful of others.
Our guidelines are based on the latest scientific knowledge and recommendations. Your cooperation is necessary in order for us to be successful in that attempt.
We will continue to closely monitor the evolution of this pandemic and will keep you up to date on our response to it.
Welcome Corner
We are centrally located near downtown, in beautiful Oakleigh Historic District at 1007 - 1009 Government Street and the corner of Chatham Street.
Our Sunday service begins at 10:45am. Arriving a little early (on Sunday) will help with a parking place and you'll have time to visit our Welcome Center and take a guided tour of our campus.
What to wear is the most popular question. And the answer is as unique as you! You can dress comfortable in God's house or you wear your Sunday best. We dress in many ways in MCC.
We offer Sunday School. If you have children, keep them with you until after the service begins. When directed, we will escort your children to the Fellowship House for Sunday School. We have two adults with your children at all time.
You can expect to meet a lot of friendly people who are sharing their spiritual journey together. We are a Christian church for all people, and we are predominantly LGBTQ+. You will experience lively worship with both traditional and contemporary music. We utilize PowerPoint for every aspect of the service so you will have the information needed to fully participate in the service which is between one and one and a half hour long.

“We cannot become complacent and desensitized to racially-charged statements. Our faith resides in God where love will win and fear and hatred will wither in love’s shadow. We cannot be silent,”
