Rev Sara Sills
Scripture: Ephesians 2:4-9.
As we begin the countdown to Thanksgiving and Advent, we are starting a new sermon series called, “Amazing Grace.” We’re going to attempt to grasp the meaning of grace, how it works in our lives, how we can begin to accept God’s grace and how to extend this grace to others as we live our everyday lives. Grace is a simple word – only five letters. Even though it’s simple to spell, its meaning is profound. Join us for worship either on campus or online and let’s learn all about grace together!
Live Worship Update
Our Board of Directors developed a reopening plan for our church. We are now open.
Please note the following guidelines that we implemented. It is important that we understand that while it may be safe for some to attend, there are many among us who are immune compromised. The safety of ALL is our aim.
If you are not feeling well we ask that you stay at home and join us online for our services.
A single point of entry at the door with the ramp will be available to worshipers. A team of volunteers will greet you there to offer assistance.
Masks must be worn by everyone entering the building. The church has a small supply of disposable masks, but if you have your own reusable mask, please bring it.
Hand sanitizer usage is required before entering the building. We have a supply of alcohol based sanitizers available. If you prefer to bring your own, please do so.
Everyone entering the building will have their temperature scanned. If it is elevated, you will not be permitted to enter.
Seating will be arranged to allow at least six feet of distance around family groups. Ushers will be available to assist you in choosing your seats.
We strongly discourage congregating before or after services inside the Sanctuary or in the parking area without abiding by social distancing recommendations.
We realize that these measures may not be deemed necessary by everyone, but keep in mind that our aim is to protect ALL of us. Our guidelines are based on the latest scientific knowledge and recommendations. Your cooperation is absolutely necessary in order for us to be successful in that attempt. If you are in opposition to any of these guidelines, you may choose to stay at home and watch our services online. Those who opt to join us live are expected to abide by these guidelines. Anyone who does not will be asked to leave the building.
We will continue to closely monitor the evolution of this pandemic and will keep you up to date on our response to it. We are seeking volunteers to assist with cleaning/sanitizing the Sanctuary and with implementing our precautions on Sunday mornings when we reopen. If you are interested in either, or both, of these opportunities for ministry, please contact Pastor Sara .

Help Cornerstone MCC by relieving some of your church's financial pressures. In addition to your usual giving consider paying one of our recurring bills. Some are yearly, some are quarterly and some are monthly. The monthly bills have been averaged over the past year. Currently there are fourteen bills, ten are monthly, one is quarterly, and three are yearly.
Place check or cash for the amount in an envelope, write name of bill on the outside and your name (if you wish to remain anonymous no name is necessary) and put in offering plate. Payment (cash or check) may also be mailed to: Cornerstone MCC, Attn: Adopt-a-Bill, 1007 Government Street, Mobile, Alabama 36604.
You may choose to pay a bill for one month, three months or the whole year...however you feel lead to use the financial gifts God has blessed you with.
If you have questions, need information or want to sign-up, see Sheilah or Carol. A list of bills and amounts are on the bulletin board in the foyer and in the Fellowship House.

Conflict Resolution Policy
A Conflict Resolution Policy was presented at the Board of Directors meeting. A motion was passed to rename it "Cornerstone Guidelines for Conflict Resolution" and to recommend all members and friends print out a copy and review it. It will also be included in New Member packets. It is our hope that this document will remind us that conflicts will occur, and there are positive ways to deal with them as Christian brothers and sisters.
